Description
VicRoads Concrete Double Batter Outlet (SD 1641)
This dual-pipe headwall serves subsoil drainage and complies with VicRoads / DTP SD 1641 (Type 2). It controls discharge and limits erosion at the outlet, protecting embankments and the pavement structure.
In simple terms: a precast concrete outlet for two drain pipes that lets water discharge safely on a batter and helps stop erosion.
Key features & benefits
- SD 1641 compliant: Matches VicRoads / DTP detailing for Type 2 headwalls.
- Dual discharge: Two outlets manage higher flows and reduce local scour.
- Robust build: High-strength precast concrete for long service life and low upkeep.
- System ready: Coordinates with SD 1611 subsurface pits and SD 1631 terminals.
- Project friendly: Suits road shoulders, embankments and cut-to-fill zones.
Applications
- Subsoil drainage with higher discharge or redundancy needs.
- Road and infrastructure projects built to VicRoads / DTP standards.
- Embankment outlets where erosion control and stability matter.
