Description
VicRoads Concrete Single Batter Outlet (SD 1641)
The VicRoads Concrete Single Batter Outlet is a one-pipe headwall for subsoil drainage that complies with VicRoads / DTP Standard Drawing SD 1641 (Type 1). It controls discharge at the batter and helps reduce erosion and protect the pavement structure.
In simple terms: a concrete outlet for one pipe that discharges water safely on a slope and helps prevent erosion.
Manufactured in high-strength precast concrete, the unit is sized for road and civil works and provides a durable, low-maintenance termination to the drain run.
Key features & benefits
- SD 1641 compliant: Matches VicRoads / DTP detailing for Type 1 single outlets.
- Controlled discharge: Directs flow to minimise local scour at the embankment.
- Robust build: Precast concrete for long service life and low upkeep.
- System-ready: Coordinates with SD 1611 subsurface pits and SD 1631 terminals.
- Project-friendly: Suits road shoulders, embankments and cut-to-fill zones.
Applications
- Subsoil drainage terminations on road and civil projects.
- Road & infrastructure built to VicRoads / DTP standards.
- Embankment outlets where erosion control and stability matter.
